An automation tool for product managers

Designer on a four-person team. Designing the agentic surfaces, and submitting PRs into the product, including the first attempt at that, which failed.

Summary

Samepage is an automation tool for product managers. Signals automatically surface the information and insights that matter most across all of their tools and the web, in one place.

I've owned product design at Samepage for the past year. Daily signals, the build-a-signal surface, onboarding, and the design system foundations. The work spans the agentic patterns at the core of the product and the foundational system around them.

I also tried designing directly in production code, and the first attempt failed. One large PR, closed in April without merging. We tried again in June with much smaller changes, a code hygiene skill I run before every PR, and a real review path. 17 PRs since, eight merged. What changed between the first attempt and the second is in the case study.
